One Critically Injured in Three-Vehicle Damascus Crash

Montgomery County Police have not released the names of any of the drivers involved in Monday's crash.

DAMASCUS, MD — A pickup truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries Monday when the vehicle slammed into another pickup and was then hit by a big rig, authorities say.

Police have not released the names or hometowns of the drivers involved.

About 1:41 p.m., Montgomery County Police officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a three-vehicle crash on Ridge Road near Gue Road in the Damascus area.

Investigators say a 1994 GMC Sonoma was northbound on Ridge Road when it crossed the center line and collided with a southbound 2015 Ford F-450. The Sonoma was then struck by a tractor-trailer that was northbound on Ridge Road.

The driver of the Sonoma was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the F-450 was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
