Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Train in Germantown
Montgomery County Police are investigating the death of a man who was hit by a MARC train Saturday in Germantown.

GERMANTOWN, MD — Authorities have not yet released the name of a man who was hit and killed Saturday night by a MARC train in Germantown. Montgomery County Police say the fatal accident happened about 9:30 p.m. on the tracks in the area of the Germantown Marc train station, 19311 Mateny Hill Road.
Investigators say the victim was in the area of the tracks when he was struck by a westbound MARC commuter train. The victim died from his injuries at the scene.
The victim’s identity will be released once family notifications have been made, police say.
