Man Is In Serious Condition After Police Shooting In Germantown
A man wielding a gun in Germantown was shot and seriously injured by Montgomery County Police on Sunday.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A man with a gun was shot by Montgomery County police Sunday afternoon in Germantown. The armed man, whom officials encountered in a cul-de-sac on Cross Laurel Court, is in serious condition, officials said Monday.
Police said they responded to the area around 2:41 p.m. for a report of man in the street wielding a gun. During the encounter, police shot the man. No officers were injured during the incident, according to a press release.
Responding officers administered first aid until Fire and Rescue personnel arrived. The man, whom police did not identify, was taken to a local hospital.
