Poolesville to Host 6th Annual SpringFest
Town Celebration Features Family Fun, Barbeque, Beer and Blues.
The Town of Poolesville will host its 6th Annual “SpringFest” celebration on Saturday, May 21, an event that features a wide variety of activities for the whole family, musical performances, food vendors, and a beer and wine tasting tent featuring craft beers and Rocklands Farm wines. The event will be held in the town’s central gathering place, Whalen Commons, located at 19701 Fisher Avenue in Poolesville.
SpringFest begins at 2 p.m. and continues until 7 p.m., and will go on rain or shine. Activities at SpringFest will include, a mechanical bull sponsored by Don Hoffacker Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., cornhole games, a Rock Wall, face painting, and entertainment from The Hard Swimmin’ Fish and Moonshine Society. Entrance to the beer & wine garden is $20.00 and includes a souvenir glass.
“We are excited to host SpringFest for the sixth year and continue to bring together our community’s small businesses, artists and families for this fun landmark event.” said Jim Brown, President of the Poolesville Town Commission. “We are such a tight-knit community. It’s amazing to see all hands on deck and our town come together to make this year’s celebration the best one yet! We hope our friends from around the area will come out and join us for a great day in Poolesville.”

Co-sponsored by the Town of Poolesville and the SpringFest Committee, the event will also feature booths from local artisans who will sell jewelry, arts and crafts and other handmade goods. Among the food vendors that will be participating are 3rd Alarm Barbecue, M.A.D. BBQ, and the Corned Beef King.
