Rockville Rally to Target Gun Violence
A mother of a gun victim will join police and elected leaders at the Old Courthouse Sunday evening.

ROCKVILLE, MD β A rally against recent gun violence will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Old Grey Courthouse located at 27 Courthouse Square in Rockville.
Speakers at the event will include Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Montgomery County Police Chief Tom Manger, Robert Disney from the Brady Campaign Against Gun Violence and Cathy Mitchell, a county resident and mother of a victim of gun violence .

There will be music and the rally will conclude with the lighting of hundreds of candles.
Rockville Mayor Bridget Newton said in a news release, βEnough really is enough, we all ought to take one hour out of our busy holiday schedules to take a stand against gun violence.β

The rally is sponsored by various groups including, Executive Ike Leggett, the City of Rockville, the Montgomery County Council, and the Brady Campaign Against Gun Violence.
