Seneca Soars to Win Over Churchill; Remains Undefeated

Screamin' Eagles defeat the Bulldogs, 32-6, to move to 4-0 on the season.

In a match up of unbeaten teams, Seneca Valley's James Jones-Williams rushed for 192 yards and scored twice Friday night, helping the Screamin' Eagles defeat the visiting Churchill Bulldogs, 32-6.

The win moves the Screamin' Eagles to 4-0 and preserves its perch as one of the last unbeaten teams in the county, along with Damascus, Gaithersburg, and Quince Orchard — which hosts Seneca Valley on Saturday.

touchdowns came during a 25-point second quarter, which also featured a 59-yard fumble return for a score by defensive end Nicoy Davis and a 32-yard touchdown pass from Tanner Vallely to Kevin Joppy.

lone touchdown came on a 17-yard run from Curtis Kamara late in the second quarter, when the Bulldogs were trailing 18-0, but Joppy's long score on Seneca's next possession gave the Screamin' Eagles a 25-7 lead heading into halftime.

"We probably played the best football we've played all year in that quarter," Seneca coach Fred Kim said. "We did everything right. Special teams were solid. We were clicking pretty well there no doubt."
