GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police say someone in a car shot into a crowd of about 30 people outside a Germantown house party Saturday night, injuring two young men. Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the shooter, and a $10,000 reward has been offered.
The shooting occurred shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday in the area of Summer Oak Drive and Waring Station Road. Two men, ages 18 and 20, were found at the scene by police, each suffering from a gunshot wound; one victim had been shot in the foot and the other victim had been shot in the leg. Both victims were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say a group of about 30 people showed up at a party at a Summer Oak Drive home, but were turned away by the host. The uninvited group remained on foot in the area, when a white Chevrolet Impala or silver sedan drove through the intersection and shots were fired from the vehicle, and the two men were wounded.
