SunTrust Bank ATM Robber's Image Released By Police
A Germantown man was forced at gunpoint to withdraw cash at a SunTrust Bank ATM; police hope you recognize the suspect.
GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Police on Thursday released surveillance photos of a man accused of forcing a Germantown resident to withdraw cash from an ATM at gunpoint. Montgomery County Police hope that the public can help identify the suspect in the Oct. 2 armed robbery.
A Germantown man reported the robbery happened shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday when a man approached him in the area of Great Seneca Highway and Grey Eagle Court. The victim told officers he was walking on the sidewalk of southbound Great Seneca Highway near Grey Eagle Court when the suspect with a handgun ordered the victim to withdraw money from a nearby bank ATM.
The armed robber forced the victim to walk to the SunTrust Bank at 12605 Wisteria Drive and withdraw an undisclosed amount of cash from the ATM, police say. The victim gave the suspect the money and the robber fled on foot.

Investigators obtained surveillance photographs from the bank's ATM and ask anyone with information about the robbery to call 240-773-6237.
