Tennis Thanks The Troops: A 72-Hour Salute from July 1 - 4th, featuring three ThanksUSA events over 72 hours.

Tennis Thanks The Troops: A 72-Hour Salute from July 1 - 4th, will feature three ThanksUSA events over 72 hours. ThanksUSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Since 2006, ThanksUSA has awarded nearly 3,700 scholarships valued at more than $11 million. Recipients come from all 50 states and the District of Columbia and represent all branches of the armed services, including the National Guard and Reserves.

Our 72-Hour Salute over the Independence Holiday will honor military families for their service and sacrifice, while raising funds for scholarships for hundreds more military spouses and children.

1. 72-Hour Tennis Marathon Challenge - Bonnie Vona with United States Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Most Consecutive Opponents in Tennis Singles. Bonnie will begin on Friday, July 1st, and conclude at 8am on July 4th to officially kick off the ThanksUSA July 4th Family Festival.

Starts: July 1 - 8am
Ends: July 4 – 8am
Price: Sponsorship to play & be part of world record attempt -- Military Ace ($1,000) and Firecracker ($500).

2. ThanksUSA July 4th Family Festival -- A fun family event featuring a tennis tournament for children (during the day) and adults (during the evening), a serving-machine contest, military appreciation, raffles and giveaways, ending with the Germantown Glory Fireworks.

Time: 9am – 2pm
Price: Junior Firecracker Open L8 Tournament benefitting ThanksUSA: $38.13/player
Racquets & Rockets -- Adult Tennis Tournament & Fireworks Party - $35/player, with additional donations benefitting ThanksUSA

3. Maryland's Largest Tennis Clinic - Everyone in attendance on July 4th will have the opportunity to participate in a large group tennis clinic beginning at 3pm. Racquets will be provided for players ranging from beginner to professional to experience a clinic like no other.

Price: Maryland's Largest Tennis Clinic – Free (Donations accepted)
