TennisPlex "Bubbles" With Progress

As part of the Montgomery TennisPlex, the tennis bubbles will house eight indoor hard courts.

Crews began inflating the tennis bubbles Friday at Montgomery TennisPlex. Two all season, air-conditioned, fabric-covered buildings will house eight indoor hard courts.

In April, community leaders and local tennis pros gathered in Boyds and ceremonially broke ground on the $3.5 million, 9-acre tennis facility, which is expected to open at in mid-September.

The TennisPlex will be operated by Jack Schore Tennis LLC. The facility gained the backing of the Washington Kastles, which donated $25,000 to the facility. Kastles owner Mark Ein is an alumni of Schore's tennis program in Virginia.
