Toast To Taste Festival Kicks Off Oct. 12

GERMANTOWN, MD — Local breweries will gather in Germantown on Saturday for Montgomery Parks' first-ever beer and food festival.

At Toast to Taste, guests can enjoy craft brews and gourmet food from a number of local vendors. The event takes place at Germantown Town Center Urban Park from 1 to 5 p.m.

Featured breweries:

• True Respite Brewing Co.
• 7 Locks Brewing
• Brawling Bear Brewing
• Waredaca Brewing Company
• Elder Pine Brewing & Blending Co

Food and drink pairings include:

• Thai Chicken Skewers paired with Elder Pine's Asleep on the Forrest Floor
• Sour Berry Crostini paired with a Waredaca's 3-2-1 Gose Peach
• Chocolate Mousse Dessert Shot paired with True Respite's Scrum and Hooker
• Sausage Carving Station with Sauerkraut and Pickles paired with 7 Locks Kolsch
• Arancini (Fried Risotto ball) with Pimento Cheese Filling paired with Brawling Bear's First Punch Amber Ale

A Toast to Taste ticket costs $35. Guests will receive a souvenir glass and get access to all five paired tasting stations. Those who don't want to drink can buy a food-only ticket.
