Video Of Armed Robbery At Beer And Wine Store Released By Police
Police released a surveillance video in connection with Friday's armed robbery of Wisteria Beer and Wineโ in Germantown.

GERMANTOWN, MD โ Montgomery County Police released a surveillance video Wednesday morning that they say shows the suspect wanted in last Friday's armed robbery at Wisteria Beer and Wine in Germantown. They are asking the public's help in identifying the man in the video, according to a release.
Officers responded around 7:30 p.m., on Friday for the report of a robbery of at the store, which is located in the Churchill Business Center at 13220 Wisteria Drive.
Police say that a man entered the store and walked behind the counter. He then pointed a gun at an employee's neck and demanded that he open the cash registers. After the employee complied, the man began to leave but then stopped to point the gun at the employee again. He then demanded Newport cigarettes, before exiting the store.

Police described the suspect as a Black man with an average build, who was about 20 years old. He stood approximately 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, with long back braids or locs with a metallic gold cuff on the right side and a goatee. Under a black baseball cap, he wore a black do-rag. All of his clothing, which included a long-sleeved shirt under a short-T shirt, and baggy sweatpants, was black. He also wore white Nike sneakers with black laces, according to police.
