Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:

  1. Israel Thompson, 19, of Glen Burnie has been sentence to 22 years for second degree murder. The murder of Marc Hill, 25, happened April 3, 2021. Thompson will not be eligible for parole in the first 5 years of his sentence. (Anne Arundel County)
  2. Department of Health is offering COVID-19 vaccines to children 5 years of age and under. Vaccines have been distributed to pediatricians so they can administer the shots. Children are used to going to their doctors for shots, so this should make things easier all around. (Anne Arundel County Department of Health)
  3. The Anne Arundel County Police paid their respects to a fellow officer. Officer Hilliard was killed in the line of duty last week. (Facebook)

  • Today is "National Chocolate Éclair Day" and "National HVAC Tech Day." These are two holidays that definitely go hand in hand! If the a/c is not working your eclairs will melt! And we cannot have melted eclairs! (Holidays and Observations)
