3 Glen Burnie Residents Face Drug-Related Charges: Police

One man had a pistol and drugs in his vehicle Saturday. Two women were found with an assortment of drugs, a scale and more in their home.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Three Glen Burnie residents face charges in two separate drug-related cases that occurred over the weekend. On Saturday at approximately 6:45 p.m., an officer stopped a white 2005 Acura in the area of Ritchie Highway at I-695. The Anne Arundel County officer was prompted to search the vehicle and found a Palmetto State Armory PX9 AR pistol in a backpack sitting on the front passenger seat. Also inside the bag was a magazine loaded with five 9mm rounds of ammunition.

Officers also located a small amount of suspected marijuana in the center console of the vehicle, according to a police report. Officers then arrested Michael Ricardo Constan Harris, 23, of the 1000 block of Wisdom Court.

On Friday, officers executed a search and seizure warrant on a home in the 100 block of New Jersey Avenue in Glen Burnie after the police department received several complaints about drug activity in the area. During the search, officers discovered:

  • 26 gel capsules containing suspected CDS heroin, 10.99 grams
  • 13.37 grams suspected CDS crack-cocaine
  • 89 alprazolam pills
  • 8 oxycodone pills
  • 113 gel capsules containing suspected CDS heroin residue
  • Digital scale with suspected CDS residue
  • $854.00 in U.S. currency

Officers arrested two suspects who were in the home at the time of the search. Janet Lynn Hook, 60, and Deanna Carol Murphy, 52.
