5 Baltimore Teens Charged With Assault, Robbery In Glen Burnie

Five Baltimore residents ranging from 16 to 19 have been charged with assaulting and robbing a Glen Burnie man, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Five Baltimore teenagers are charged with assaulting and robbing a Glen Burnie man Nov. 20 as he walked home from work, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The group ranging in age from 16 to 19 allegedly confronted the victim about 3:15 p.m. on Central Avenue near Crain Highway in Glen Burnie.

The man told officers a group of three males and two females knocked him to the ground and began assaulting him. During the attack, one suspect implied that he had a gun. The suspects searched the victim’s pockets and took his cell phone and wallet.

The assailants fled on foot and the victim ran toward his home but was able to flag down a passerby who called police. Several officers searched the area, and found five suspects on Crain Highway and Fifth Avenue. The victim identified the group as the people who had robbed him. As they were arrested and searched, the victim’s property was recovered.

Those arrested are:

  • Devin Marquis Hawkins, 18, of the 3700 block of Columbus Drive
  • Jessie Jerome Johnson, 18, of the 60 block of South Carrollton Avenue
  • Aliyah Diamond Dorsey, 19, of the 700 block of Yale Avenue
  • Angel Nicole Smith-Kearney, 18, of the 60 block of South Carrollton Avenue
  • A 16-year-old boy from Baltimore
