9-Year-Old Shot, Hospitalized By Bullet That Entered Glen Burnie Home: Police

A 9-year-old was shot by a bullet that entered a Glen Burnie home, police said. The child went to a hospital. Officers are investigating.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 9-year-old was shot by a projectile that entered a Glen Burnie home this weekend, county police announced Monday afternoon.

Officers said the child went to the emergency room of the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday. Doctors treated the victim's serious injuries, but they expect the child to survive.

The victim's parent told authorities that the projectile entered through the home's front door in the 300 block of Lindera Court, a press release said.
