GLEN BURNIE, MD — Ahjur Ja Kel Hotten, a 23-year-old Glen Burnie man, is facing multiple charges after police say he was involved in the sale of a video game console that went sour.
Anne Arundel County Police said in a release that officers responded Friday around 3 p.m. to the area of the Ellwell Court and Towne Road for a robbery.
At the scene, authorities were told that a man was meeting Hotten to purchase a video game console. However, instead of a game console, Hotten brandished a replica handgun and stole money from the intended buyer.
Although Hotten ran from the scene, he was later identified and arrested.
Court records show Hotten is facing eight charges, including two that are considered felonies. The offenses include:
A Monday hearing ended with Hotten being ordered to remain held without bond. The latest filings do not yet indicate Hotten's next court hearing.
