The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the non-contact shooting took place late Tuesday on the 100 block of Sloane Drive.

At the scene, authorities learned Bliesath fired a gun toward a vehicle after a verbal confrontation over rent with the driver.

The bullet, according to police, struck the car's front bumper and hood area while the driver was attempting to leave the parking lot of an apartment complex near Marley Station Mall.

No injuries were reported in relation to the shooting.

A search of the scene led to the handgun later being found in bushes near the entrance of Sloane Drive. Police said Bliesath was taken into custody without further incident.

The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, man remains held without bond. A bail hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
