• Man jumped by two suspects who snatched phone outside Glen Burnie bar (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A man was assaulted and had his phone stolen while walking through the parking lot of Brews & Cues Bar on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie early Friday morning. Anne Arundel County Police say two teens in all-black clothing attacked him and fled on foot, and detectives are asking anyone with information to call them or use the anonymous tip line.
   

• American Airlines passenger duct-taped to seat, plane diverted to BWI after disturbance (foxbaltimore.com) — A disruptive passenger accused of using racist and anti-gay slurs forced an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Newark to divert to BWI, where Maryland Transportation Authority Police arrested him. The 67-year-old Arizona man faces assault and disorderly conduct charges, and his trial is scheduled for Oct. 19 in Glen Burnie, drawing the high-profile case into the local courthouse.
