GLEN BURNIE, MD — Cars that were left behind in the underground garage of the compromised Empire Towers office building in Glen Burnie could soon be removed, according to a report.
An email from building officials that was reviewed by CBS Baltimore states plans are in motion to begin releasing at least half of the vehicles as soon as next week.
However, there's a catch. Owners of cars eligible for removal must sign a waiver of liability for construction officials, as they will be the individuals permitted to relocate the cars.

The Glen Burnie building has been closed off to the public since early July, when officials implemented a 150-foot safety perimeter and declared the building unsafe after unpermitted construction work compromised its stability.
Work at the building is currently in its second repair phase, which is expected to continue for the next four weeks.
