GLEN BURNIE, MD — A popular car parts retailer is growing its footprint in Anne Arundel County, with a new opening in the Glen Burnie area.
Advance Auto Parts opened for business Thursday at 7740 Ritchie Highway inside the Harundale Plaza.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured representatives from the Severn-based Center of Applied Technology North, which received a donation for the school's auto program.
The shop's opening marks the second Advance Auto Parts location to serve residents in Glen Burnie, and makes up one of more than 10 locations in the county.
"We're excited to continue growing our presence in Glen Burnie with this new store and market hub," Eli Rosa, the company's regional vice president, said in a statement.
"This location will help us better support customers, professional shops and technicians across the area with improved parts availability and service."
"As we celebrate this opening, we're honored to help support CAT North and recognize the important role its automotive technology program plays in helping meet the industry's growing need for skilled technicians."
The new car parts store will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
