ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A 19-year-old from Glen Burnie is facing charges over a shooting that took place at a gas station in the Pasadena area.
Anne Arundel County Police said the shooting occurred Friday around 11:30 p.m. at the Dash In gas and convenience store on the 3900 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena.
The department identified the teenager as Ramon Emi'jai Alston.
Online records show Alston was charged with 10 offenses, including first-and second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault.
At the scene, police found multiple witnesses, an individual who suffered gunshot wounds, and a vehicle that sustained multiple bullet holes.
The unidentified individual was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
Early findings from the scene revealed the shooting broke out following an argument between Alston and the injured person. Police did not say whether the pair had known one another before the shooting or what the dispute was about.
Alston, according to investigators, drove away from the scene after the shooting. However, he later turned himself in to authorities on Saturday.
Officials said the handgun linked to the shooting was also recovered.
Records show that Alston remains held without bond. A bail hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, with a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 4.
