Anne Arundel Under Two Weather Advisories

The advisories last through early Sunday evening for Anne Arundel County.

There are two weather alerts that affect Anne Arundel County on Sunday, Feb. 15:

  • A wind chill advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday, calling for temperatures from single digits to the teens with wind chills that feel like 5 to 25 degrees below. See the Anne Arundel area forecast here.
  • Much of the state is under a wind advisory until 4 p.m. Sunday, with the potential for wind gusts from 20 to 30 mph and up to 45 mph that may cause downed power lines and trees, according to the National Weather Service. Officials advised that snow may blow across the area, limiting visibility.

Anne Arundel County authorities reminded residents that if they lose power, the county has warming shelters open.
