First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. There are suspects in custody who are linked to two robberies from a few days ago. Great job Anne Arundel County Police! The Smoke and Vape shop and The Treat Store owners can rest easy now that someone will have to pay for their crime. (Facebook)
  2. The Glen Burnie Farmers Market will not be opening again this year. Its scheduled opening conflicted with the renovations and expansion being made to the ice-skating rink. The decision was made to delay opening to Spring 2023. (wmar2news.com)
  3. What exactly is closed this Monday? Maryland state and federal government offices will be closed on Monday, May 30 to honor Memorial Day. Libraries, schools, post offices, courts and even trash collection are closed on this day. Sit back and relax and give thanks to those who gave their all for our country this Memorial Day.   4. Yesterday was quite the weather day in Maryland! Fast-moving storms and the threat of a tornado were in store for the area. The threat for severe storms were in effect until 8 p.m. but had the potential to last until midnight. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
  5. A 5K run is scheduled in Linthicum this Monday, May 30 at 9 a.m. This run is to honor veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The race starts at the Veterans Memorial Monument located on Maple Road. (Glen Burnie Patch)
