Attacker Wearing Beating Victim's Shoes Sentenced to 40 Years
A Glen Burnie man who punched and stomped a man on the head so severely he spent four months in the hospital, will spend decades in prison.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A Glen Burnie man who inflicted serious injuries when he repeatedly kicked and stomped a man in the head during a robbery – and was later found wearing the victim’s shoes – has been sentenced to decades in prison.
Prosecutors said Timothy Lamar Stevenson, 25, of Glen Burnie, was sentenced Monday by Judge Ronald Silkworth to 40 years in prison for first-degree assault and robbery. Stevenson was found guilty of first- and second-degree assault, robbery, theft under $1,000, and reckless endangerment in February 2015.
In July 2015, Stevenson assaulted a man outside the Moose Lodge on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie, punching the victim in the face and knocking him to the ground. Stevenson then continued to punch, kick and stomp the victim’s head and face, police said, causing significant broken bones and injuries.

Stevenson then stole the victim’s wallet, cash, and shoes.
A day later, Anne Arundel County Police officers arrested Stevenson for the attempted robbery and assault of a homeless man. Officers found that Stevenson had the first victim’s wallet and wore the victim’s stolen shoes.

The man in his 50s spent four months at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma recovering from his life-threatening injuries. Prosecutors say he remains at a physical rehabilitation center.
"I am grateful that Judge (Ronald) Silkworth recognized the threat this defendant poses to Anne Arundel County residents,” said Anne Arundel County State's Attorney Wes Adams in a statement. “My office is determined to hold assailants accountable and deliver justice to the victim. This attack was extraordinarily vicious.”
Stevenson was sentenced to 25 years for first-degree assault and 15 years for robbery.
