Baltimore Man Dies From Glen Burnie Crash Injuries: Police
An elderly Baltimore man has died after he was injured in a Glen Burnie car accident, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — An elderly Baltimore man died Monday from injuries he suffered a week ago in a Glen Burnie car crash. Anne Arundel County Police say that Thomas Allen Sheeder, 82, of the 300 block of Washington Avenue in Baltimore, died at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
The fatal accident happened just before noon on June 11 on Crain Highway and Fifth Avenue in Glen Burnie. Investigators say a 2010 Honda Civic driven by Patricia Lynn Sipe, 72, of the 300 block of Washington Avenue in Baltimore, was southbound on Crain Highway. Sipe turned left into the path of a Honda Accord that was northbound on Crain Highway, police say, and the two vehicles collided.
Sipe and her front seat passenger — Wayne Robert Sipe, 76, also of the 300 block of Washington Avenue in Baltimore — were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries. Sheeder, who was a passenger in the rear seat of Sipe's car, suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the Accord was not hurt, police say.
It appears the primary cause of the crash was Patricia Sipe's failure to yield to the Honda Accord when she made a left turn, officers say. Speed and/or alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the crash.
