North County Wrestler who was wrongfully denied his last year of football and wrestling becomes World Silver Medalist

2012 FILA Junior World Wrestling Silver Medalist, Patrick Downey, III

Patrick Downey, III, the North County High School student-athlete who, in the Fall of 2010, was malicously charged by the Anne Arundel County Police Departement (initially charged with 18 counts, 13 of which were immediately dropped by the State's Attorney Office, remaining five dropped AFTER the end of both the football and wrestling seasons), thereby, wrongfully denied his Senior season of football and wrestling, has gone on to win three consectuive National Wrestling Titles, earn a spot on the U.S. Junior World Team, and this past Sunday, earned a Silver medal at the FILA Junior World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand.

Just goes to show you what can be accomplished with the The Lord in your corner and a never give-up attitude.
