Brooklyn Park Car Theft Prompts Charges Against Bethesda Child, Baltimore Adult: Police
A Brooklyn Park car theft and assault led to charges against a 12-year-old from Bethesda and an 18-year-old from Baltimore, police said.

BROOKLYN PARK, MD — Police announced that they charged a Bethesda child and a Baltimore adult this week after a Brooklyn Park car theft and assault.
Officers said they heard about the encounter in the 5200 block of 4th Street around 8:15 p.m. Monday. Authorities accused three males of assaulting a juvenile and demanding his car keys while he was walking toward his home.
Police said the victim complied and the suspects drove away in the red 2003 Ford Expedition. The victim declined treatment from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Officers said they found and charged 18-year-old Tishawn Kendol Parker of Baltimore on Wednesday. Authorities also charged a 12-year-old from Bethesda on Thursday.
Police did not identify the minor who they charged. This is normal protocol for juveniles accused of crimes.

Investigators said they eventually found and returned the SUV. Detectives are still looking for the third suspect.
