🌱 Capital Raceway Shooting + No World Cup In Landover + Earth Day

Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. There was a shooting Saturday, April 23 in Crofton at the Capital Raceway. The raceway was hosting the "County Boys vs. City Boys Racing Shootout/Car Show" when the shooting occurred. Two people were taken to shock trauma, where they are expected to survive their injuries. (WMAR 2 News)
  2. Fed-Ex field in Landover has dropped out of the running to host the World Cup in 2026. The Washington area is now merging its campaign with Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. Seventeen locations remain in the running to host this event. (WBAL)
  3. Meade Middle School knows how to celebrate Earth Day! Who can resist a walking Earth? This Earth is the only one we have, be gentle with it...it's not Uranus! (A.A. County Public Schools/Facebook)
