CASEY CARES FOUNDATION RECEIVES $2,500 GRANT FROM CATONSVILLE WOMEN'S GIVING CIRCLE
Funds to Help Provide Memorable Activities for Critically Ill Children and their Families
The Casey Cares Foundation today announced that it was awarded a $2,500 grant by the Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle. The grant will help to fund Casey Cares’ Family Festivities program, an ongoing program in which families are provided activities ranging from sky box seats at baseball games, concert tickets, nights at home with movie and pizza, tickets to plays, passes to museums and local attractions. The Casey Cares Foundation provides uplifting and ongoing programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families.
“We are incredibly grateful to Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle for their generosity and support in our mission to bring smiles to the faces of critically ill children and their families,” said Casey Baynes, Founder and Executive Director of the Casey Cares Foundation. “The money from this grant will allow us to continue to plan memorable activities for families who must make every day count.”
The Catonsville Women’s Giving Circle is dedicated to organizing women to grow and enhance philanthropy in the Catonsville area. The grant-making group supports charitable programs and organizations selected by their membership, and seeks to educate themselves and others about the needs of their community and philanthropic best practices.

The Casey Cares Foundation has provided ongoing support to 26 Catonsville families whose children were diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The Foundation has six dedicated volunteers from the Catonsville area, in addition to its Program Director Kim Meyers, who has been with Casey Cares for more than ten years.
In 2014, Casey Cares provided 1,800 Family Festivity activities to 7,800 participants. In addition to tickets and passes to various programs, Casey Cares also includes special touches such as pajamas, parking vouchers, activity books and gift cards for food in the Family Festivities packages, to complete the experience. Each program is customized for the family that will be attending, and Casey Cares encourages its families to call their offices and make special requests, as the sole focus when planning their outings are the interests of our children and their families. Casey Cares supplies a multitude of different art, entertainment and culturally related activities to families to ensure that they receive rare and important experiences.
