Clerk In Safe Room Foils Glen Burnie Exxon Station Robbery
A clerk inside a secure room refused to hand over any cash to two men who tried to rob an Exxon station in Glen Burnie, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two men who tried to rob a Glen Burnie gas station early Thursday were thwarted by a clerk in a safe room, say Anne Arundel County Police, who are searching for the culprits. The attempted hold-up was reported just after 1:30 a.m. at the Exxon at 8001 Crain Highway.
The store employee told police that two suspects came into the business with a gun, and demanded money. But the clerk was in a secured room and refused to hand over anything. The suspects then fled on foot, and were not found during a search by officers.
The suspects are described as wearing a heavy red coat with a red mask, and the other wore a hat and a red mask, police say.
