County Firefighters Respond To Glen Burnie Townhome Fire

A fire broke out at a two-story townhome at Elvaton Towne Condominiums in Glen Burnie July 15. The incident remains under investigation.

GLEN BURNIE, MD —The Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit has opened an investigation into a structure fire at Elvaton Towne Condominiums in Glen Burnie that occurred at 8:33 a.m. Monday, July 15. The fire raged for 25 minutes at the two-story townhome at the end of the row, 424 Hardmoore Ct.

More than 30 firefighters responded to the 911 call placed by the residents of the home. They discovered smoke in the basement of their home and were instructed to evacuate by the 911 dispatcher. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the two adult residents at the townhome.
