Crack Cocaine, Marijuana Found On 2 Men: Police

Anne Arundel County police officers arrested two men in separate cases Wednesday, which netted marijuana, crack cocaine and cash.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two men face charges in separate drug-related cases that resulted in the confiscation of cash, marijuana and crack cocaine. On Wednesday at approximately 4:30 p.m., a police officer stopped a gold Acura in the area of Klagg Court and Elvaton Road. While walking up to the car, the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, the police department reported.

The officer investigated further and found 3 ounces of marijuana and $499. Officers arrested Ceniko Arkeem Devonte Akins, 27, of the 7200 block of Starboard Drive in District Heights, according to a police report.

At approximately 10:45 p.m., officers stopped a gray Acura at Faywood Avenue and Bruton Drive. Officers searched the car, which netted 3.89 grams of marijuana and 17 small bags containing 3.99 grams of suspected crack cocaine. Deonte Rayquen Evans, 23, of the unit block of Walden Cypress Court in Woodlawn, was arrested, the police report indicated.
