- A Shell gas station in Glen Burnie is thought to have put diesel gas in their pumps by mistake. Several drivers claim their vehicles were not driving well immediately after filling up their gas tanks. A mechanic then informed the vehicle owners that diesel had been used. Shell Corporation has not made a statement as of yet. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
- May is "Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month," Gov. Larry Hogan announced as he put forth the Proclamation on May 1. Warmer weather and motorcycle riding go hand in hand. It is up to all drivers to look and then look again to be sure there are not any motorcyclists in your path. (Bay Net)
- The 100 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie was the site of an armed robbery on May 6. The victim was approached by two men that demanded his valuables. The victim resisted and was slashed with a knife and his wallet stolen. No injuries were reported, only his sweatshirt was cut. (Anne Arundel County)
- A five-car crash happened Sunday, May 8 at about 5 p.m. A spokesperson stated that there were injuries, but no deaths. As of Monday, there wasn't an update on the injured persons. The cause of the initial accident is still being investigated. (News Break)
- The express parking at BWI airport has reopened. This will allow for approximately 1,400 vehicle spaces to be made available. The lot closed down in March 2020 due to the pandemic. (WJZ 13)
