The woman has since been released from the hospital, WJZ reported Tuesday.

The TV station identified the injured dog as a 9-month-old puppy named Raven.

Izzy White, a homeless advocate, told WJZ that he paid for Raven's surgery. White said he took the dog to the hospital and that she had four broken metatarsals. White will pick Raven up Wednesday from Spay Now Animal Surgery Clinic in Laurel.
