Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. On May 18, a woman called police to report a man pointed a gun at her from his car while they were both driving on Ritchie Highway headed toward Brooklyn. No injuries were reported. The suspect made a U-turn on Ritchie Highway headed toward Annapolis. A description was given, no arrests have been made at this time. (Anne Arundel County)
  2. A 7-11 in Brooklyn was the site of an attempted robbery just after midnight on Thursday, May 19. The suspect threatened the worker with a knife. The worker was able to defend himself with a baseball bat. The suspect has been arrested. (WMAR 2)
  3. Anne Arundel County Public Schools are proposing to ask students wear masks indoor again. COVID-19 cases are spiking in Anne Arundel county and are the highest they've been since February of this year. But, it is being stressed, that this is NOT a mandate(WBAL 11)
