Earth Day is coming up — celebrate by getting rid of your unwanted computers, TVs and home entertainment equipment so they can be recycled safely and effectively. To contribute, the Maryland Department of Transportation is holding an Earth Day Celebration on Friday April 25 in Hanover, Maryland.
A number of recycling companies will be present at the event. eRevival, a Laurel, Maryland-based recycling company which specializes in environmentally responsible disposal, will have a booth and will be educating consumers on the benefits of recycling as well as collecting your electronics for recycling.
Local residents are invited to bring their unwanted laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, TVs, consumer appliances and gaming consoles. But please, no microwave ovens or fluorescent lights.
