Essential Worker At Glen Burnie Medical Center Wins Wedding Dress

Kaitlyn Borries' mom nominated her for the Frontline Fierce Dress contest hosted by David's Bridal.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A nurse at Glen Burnie Medical Center has won a free wedding dress courtesy of David's Bridal. Kaitlyn Borries and her fiance, Daniel Jenkins, are both front line workers; Jenkins is a Baltimore City police officer. Their wedding is planned for June 15, 2021.

Since they both have been working long hours on the front lines during the coronavirus pandemic, it's been challenging to plan their big day, according to WMAR. Borries' mom Kimberly heard about the Frontline Fierce Dress contest David's Bridal hosted online and nominated her daughter. Anyone could nominate a front line worker for a chance to win the dress. David's Bridal selected winners weekly during the two-month contest. Borries ended up being one of those lucky 50 winners.
