The Anne Arundel County auditions will be held on Feb. 18 in the auditorium at Pascal Senior Activity Center in Glen Burnie. Two winning contestants will go on to compete against winners from other counties to be the next Maryland Senior Idol.
The fifth annual Maryland Senior Idol Competition and Benefit, hosted by the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks Senior-Citizen Division, is scheduled for March 30 at the Chesapeake Arts Center Theater in Brooklyn Park.

Winners of the Maryland Senior Idol Competition will receive gift packages.
Anyone who is at least 60 years old and hasn't sung for a living can audition. Senior Center membership is encouraged, but not required. Participants must be able to attend the March 30 performance and a dress rehearsal on March 29.
