BWMC to Celebrate "Go Green" Event

Baltimore Washington Medical Center will celebrate Earth Day by hosting an environmentally friendly health fair for members of the community and medical center staff. The event will feature a wide variety of activities focused on promoting good health while helping our environment at the same time.

Attendees will have the chance to recycle old cell phones, eyeglasses and household batteries. BWMC will also dispose of expired prescription and over-the-counter medications, shred personal and confidential documents and discard of any used or unneeded needles that distributes medicine intravenously. Participants will also be able to view demonstrations on solar energy, green cleaning, stream restoration and find out more information regarding farm-to-table food preparation.

The event will be held outside the Tate Cancer Center (305 Hospital Drive) on the campus of BWMC from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about the event, please contact BWMC’s Marketing and Communications Department at 410-787-4367.
