'Infant Wonders' at Maryland Science Center

The Maryland Science Center’s Kids Room is an interactive learning center with more than 50 innovative, age-appropriate programs that encourage children up to 8 years old to discover and learn through hands-on play.

Here are the activities for November:

Preschool Storytime
Tuesdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 from 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Includes stories, music, science activities and hands-on fun.

Imagination and Creation Exploration
Fridays, Nov. 4 and 25 at 3 p.m.
This activity is designed for children ages five through eight. Come and face a new challenge based on a monthly theme. The theme for November is Going Buggy. Discover some of the most loveable, but unhuggable creatures on earth as you learn about the amazing world of bugs and insects.

Discovery Tots
Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m.
An exploration program for children ages 12 through 24 months. Come discover basic science concepts and reinforce newly-developed skills at interactive investigation stations.

Infant Wonders
Thursday, Nov. 17 at 11 a.m.
This program is for small scientists up to one year old. It is designed to stimulate young minds with music, rhymes, books and more.

The Kids Room is free with paid admission to the Maryland Science Center. All children must be accompanied by a chaperone.
