Man Fatally Shot In Glen Burnie, Case Ruled Homicide: Police

A man was shot and killed in Glen Burnie, police said. Officers ruled the case a homicide. Authorities did not name a suspect.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Police announced that a man was fatally shot in Glen Burnie on Thursday. Officers identified the victim as 26-year-old Gene Fayga Martin of Glen Burnie.

Authorities heard word of the shooting near Beach Road and McGowan Avenue around 9:55 p.m. Investigators said they found the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. A press release stated that lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and that medics pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Officers think this was a targeted shooting that does not pose an ongoing threat to the community. The write-up did not name a suspect or release any charges.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating the case, which is ruled a homicide. Detectives asked anybody with details to call 410-222-4731.
