Former Co-Worker Tried To Break Into Glen Burnie Woman's House: Police

A Glen Burnie man was charged with attempted burglary for trying to enter a former co-worker's home, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie man was charged with attempted burglary for trying to enter a former co-worker's home, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The victim reported an attempted break-in about 10:17 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Genine Drive in Glen Burnie.

Officers were told the woman saw a suspect opening one of the windows to her residence. She opened the drapes and saw that the suspect was an ex-coworker she knows. When he spotted the victim, police say the suspect ran to a silver Nissan and fled toward the Point Pleasant area.

Just before noon the Nissan was seen in the area and police stopped the vehicle. The suspect was identified as Darren Albert Williams, 22, of the 100 block of Marie Avenue in Glen Burnie, and taken into custody. He was taken to the Northern District station, where he was processed and charged.
