Glen Burnie Home Damaged By Fire: Officials

The two-story single-family home at 108 Packard Ave. sustained $140,000 in damage and one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — More than 30 firefighters responded to a house fire Wednesday shortly before 11 p.m. The two-story single-family home at 108 Packard Ave. sustained $140,000 in damage and one firefighter had to be taken to the hospital.

It took the firefighters 30 minutes to extinguish the fire, which was first detected by neighbors. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, flames were coming out of second story windows and the fire had spread to the first floor by the time firefighters arrived on the scene. They remained there for 3.5 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit.
