Glen Burnie Man Faces Murder Charges In Stabbing Death: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD —A 52-year-old Glen Burnie man has been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend, 32-year-old Shannon Nicole Sauter. Anne Arundel County police officers arrived at the home the two shared in the 5800 block of Larsen Street March 23 at approximately 12:21 a.m.

According to a police report, a witness tried to intervene when Timothy Gough began assaulting Sauter. When officers arrived, they found Gough with blood on him, standing outside the home. Inside, officers found Sauter suffering from wounds consistent with a stabbing from a knife. Sauter was taken to the hospital but eventually died due to her injuries. An autopsy ruled Sauter's cause of death as multiple sharp force injuries with the manner being homicide.

Gough now faces first-and second-degree murder charges and is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Jennifer Road Detention Center.
