Glen Burnie Man Fatally Shot In Targeted Attack: Police
A Glen Burnie man died after he was shot in a targeted attack, police said. Officers have a person of interest in custody.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man died after he was shot Friday in Glen Burnie, county police announced Monday.
Officers identified the victim as 29-year-old Darius Davon Matthews of Glen Burnie.
Authorities said they took a person of interest into custody on unrelated charges. Police did not identify that person.

Officers got a call for shots fired in the 600 block of Crain Highway around 4:30 p.m. Authorities said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Medics pronounced him dead on the scene, a press release said.

Police think this was a targeted shooting, not a random act of violence. There are not any outstanding suspects or ongoing threats to the public.
Homicide detectives are still investigating.
