Glen Burnie Man Not Charged in Fatal Crash: Police
Pedestrian error was a factor in the deadly collision Tuesday morning, police said.

JESSUP, MD – A Glen Burnie man was driving a vehicle involved in a fatal pedestrian crash Tuesday morning in which the pedestrian was believed to be at fault, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Janay Dominique Carter, 27, of Price Avenue in Baltimore, was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased from her injuries, police reported.
Preliminarily, the investigation shows that at 4:47 a.m. on Tuesday, a 2009 Dodge Ram hit Carter, who had been trying to cross MD 175, police said. The truck was headed west on MD 175 between Pocomoke Avenue and US 1.

Raymond Slater, 61, of Glen Burnie, was driving the pickup truck, according to police, who reported he was not injured.
For several hours, MD 175 was closed for investigation and cleanup; police said the road reopened by 9 a.m.
