Glen Burnie Man Spits At, Kicks Officers During Arrest: Police

The suspect was found sitting in another person's vehicle at the Honey Bee Diner in Glen Burnie.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie man spit at and kicked Anne Arundel County police officers while they attempted to arrest him. Officers were called to the Honey Bee Diner at 7346 Ritchie Highway at 2:45 a.m. June 30 for a report of an attempted auto theft. The owner of the 2013 Chevrolet found the Glen Burnie man in his vehicle.

The man took off and a short time later, officers found the suspect, James Dillon Chavis, 29, of Glen Burnie. The police department disclosed that officers discovered Chavis had crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia in his possession. According to a police report, Chavis was charged accordingly.
