Glen Burnie Teen Arrested After Police Chase, Crash
A Glen Burnie teenager faces charges after authorities said he stole a car, fled from police and then crashed the vehicle.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie teenager faces charges after authorities said he stole a car, fled from police and then crashed the vehicle.
Anne Arundel County Police said the teen, who was not identified, was arrested early Tuesday. About 3:30 a.m., officers attempted to stop a speeding vehicle near Dorsey Road and Central Avenue in Glen Burnie.
The driver fled police, and due to the reckless way he drove, attempts to stop the vehicle were discontinued, police said in a news release. Minutes later, a 911 call was received about a crash near Eighth Avenue and Mae Wagner Lane.

Witnesses saw the driver run from the crash site. Officers learned the vehicle was reported stolen on Monday.
With help from K-9 officers, the driver was found hiding in a nearby wooded area and taken into custody without incident. The 17-year-old driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
