Glen Burnie Teen Killed In Crownsville Crash, 3 Others Injured
One Glen Burnie teen was killed and two more were injured in a car crash. Charges are pending, police say.

CROWNSVILLE, MD – Maryland State Police have released the name of a teenager killed Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Crownsville that injured three other people. Authorities say Tyrese Glenn, 16, of Glen Burnie, was pronounced dead at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was the front-seat passenger in a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis that overturned onto an embankment.
The driver of the Grand Marquis — Tashya Johnson, 33, of Glen Burnie — was taken by Maryland State Police helicopter to Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Charges against Johnson are pending, police say.
Two other teenagers, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, both from Glen Burnie, were also in Johnson's vehicle at the time of the crash. The boy was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center, while the girl was taken to R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. Both passengers were in the back seat of the vehicle.

The crash happened about 1:45 p.m. Thursday on I-97 south of Waterbury Road in Crownsville; police found the Grand Marquis on its roof. It is unknown how Johnson may have lost control of the vehicle.
Troopers from the Annapolis Barrack will conduct a detailed crash reconstruction. Upon completion, the investigation will be forwarded to the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
